To the newly elected committee and all club members,

As you probably know by now, at the last AGM early last month,we (Stephane and Julien) have been elected new Captain and Vice Captain of London French 1st XV, and Geoffroy and Cyrus will remain Captain and Vice Captain for the 2nd XV.

Taking over the roles of captains is a significant commitment. Since we joined the French, we both have been impressed and touched by the engagement of committee members and several key players within the Club... Today, we are ready to bring our energy and passion to write another year of history at the club.

To succeed, we will build a framework around Training, Dedication and Passion. Thankfully, we are surrounded by great people who will allow us to reach new competition highs : our previous Captain Emmet, John "no-cramp-no-tears" Hunter our Fitness Coach, the 2nd XV team captains, our dear President Antoine and all the key players who represents the most important asset of the club.

We may try to implement different approach in order to create a new dynamic among the players, but it will be in the continuity of what have been done by the former captains. We believe that the rebuilt of the club fame should start with a more humble appreciation of our real skills level rather than a continuous veneration of our past success.

What we see are key objectives:

• Being unbeaten at home

• Being top 3 of the table at the end of November (end of the first leg matches)

• Provide more structured and comprehensive training sessions

• Increase punctuality before a game

• Develop comradeship and maintain a great atmosphere

• Make 1st and 2nd XV squads moving towards the same goals

• Promote and support our social events

• Implement any ideas that will make LFRC the best place to play rugby and live rugby

Our season starts early September. We have been really happy to see a lot of players turning at training recently. Training session will remain throughout the summer and we hope we will meet the rest of us very soon.

Let's get back together and remind the "TPC" leitmotiv: "Train - Play and Celebrate" together.
